Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Food & Beverages and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAGEN), which rose 9.94% or 2.12 points to trade at 23.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CVKMD) added 3.67% or 11.00 points to end at 311.00 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 3.45% or 2.25 points to 67.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which fell 4.33% or 2.55 points to trade at 56.40 at the close. Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) declined 3.70% or 0.45 points to end at 11.70 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) was down 3.14% or 0.13 points to 4.01.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 356 to 205 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.63% or 16.64 to $2,664.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.91% or 0.67 to hit $74.23 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.75 to trade at $77.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 35.33, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 36.69.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 108.25.
