Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Textile & Leather and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM), which rose 6.31% or 0.38 points to trade at 6.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) added 4.68% or 0.110 points to end at 2.460 and Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) was up 2.94% or 0.70 points to 24.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK), which fell 4.71% or 0.64 points to trade at 12.95 at the close. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) declined 4.45% or 0.110 points to end at 2.360 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was down 4.17% or 0.170 points to 3.910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 116 and 56 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.30 to $1203.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.40% or 0.30 to hit $75.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.55 to trade at $85.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.44% to 6.0115, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 6.9333.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 95.32.
