Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Real Estate Investments and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 4.88% or 1.100 points to trade at 23.660 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) added 4.51% or 0.200 points to end at 4.630 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 4.43% or 0.70 points to 16.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO), which fell 3.97% or 7.90 points to trade at 191.10 at the close. Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) declined 3.84% or 0.410 points to end at 10.280 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR) was down 3.09% or 0.220 points to 6.910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 240 to 123 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) rose to all time highs; rising 4.88% or 1.100 to 23.660. Shares in Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.43% or 0.70 to 16.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 4.50 to $1274.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.52% or 0.27 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.38% or 0.22 to trade at $58.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.37% to 3.8192, while EUR/TRY rose 0.40% to 4.4695.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.81% at 94.29.
