Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which rose 4.57% or 1.46 points to trade at 33.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) added 3.02% or 0.60 points to end at 20.46 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 2.84% or 13.90 points to 502.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Verusa Holding AS (IS:VERUS), which fell 6.78% or 1.12 points to trade at 15.40 at the close. Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) declined 5.43% or 0.610 points to end at 10.630 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) was down 5.13% or 0.58 points to 10.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 226 to 130 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.20% or 2.85 to $1397.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.61% or 0.35 to hit $57.86 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.29 to trade at $64.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.80% to 5.7293, while EUR/TRY rose 1.70% to 6.4226.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.993.
