Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.87% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 5.44% or 0.460 points to trade at 8.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) added 5.29% or 0.720 points to end at 14.340 and Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) was up 4.74% or 0.170 points to 3.760 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN), which fell 5.05% or 24.30 points to trade at 456.70 at the close. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) declined 4.60% or 0.57 points to end at 11.83 and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) was down 3.77% or 0.35 points to 8.93.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 217 to 142 and 48 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.56% or 8.55 to $1522.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.57% or 0.31 to hit $54.78 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.86% or 0.50 to trade at $58.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 5.5766, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 6.1856.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 98.067.
