Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA), which rose 9.97% or 3.00 points to trade at 33.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Tukas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:TUKAS) added 3.77% or 0.30 points to end at 8.25 and Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS:KAYSE) was up 3.22% or 0.82 points to 26.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which fell 7.46% or 4.05 points to trade at 50.25 at the close. Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) declined 3.68% or 1.87 points to end at 48.88 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was down 3.45% or 2.55 points to 71.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 392 to 166 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.17% or 4.30 to $2,546.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.17 to trade at $77.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 33.91, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 37.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 101.12.
