Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 6.84% or 0.960 points to trade at 15.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) added 6.18% or 0.35 points to end at 6.01 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 4.46% or 2.90 points to 67.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which fell 4.68% or 1.08 points to trade at 21.98 at the close. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) declined 3.57% or 0.430 points to end at 11.630 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) was down 3.01% or 0.41 points to 13.21.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 200 to 140 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.01% or 0.41 to 13.21.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.78% or 9.40 to $1197.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $70.11 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.27 to trade at $78.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 6.6799, while EUR/TRY rose 0.22% to 7.7310.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 95.47.
