Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Tourism and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 9.18% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) added 5.15% or 0.300 points to end at 6.120 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was up 3.32% or 0.10 points to 3.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 5.00% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.140 at the close. Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR) declined 3.12% or 0.200 points to end at 6.210 and Dogtas Kelebek Mobilya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:DGKLB) was down 2.94% or 0.030 points to 0.990.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 204 to 164 and 40 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $1426.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.33% or 0.74 to hit $56.37 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.62% or 1.01 to trade at $63.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.59% to 5.6864, while EUR/TRY rose 0.57% to 6.3765.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 96.953.
