Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Wood, Paper & Printing and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 9.50% or 0.690 points to trade at 7.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) added 6.90% or 2.38 points to end at 36.88 and Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) was up 4.38% or 2.40 points to 57.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which fell 19.87% or 0.310 points to trade at 1.250 at the close. ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) declined 10.41% or 0.460 points to end at 3.960 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) was down 8.98% or 0.150 points to 1.520.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 311 to 67 and 27 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.09% or 14.10 to $1303.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.13% or 0.81 to hit $71.03 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.85% or 0.68 to trade at $79.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 3.74% to 4.7469, while EUR/TRY rose 4.10% to 5.5741.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 93.72.
