Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Insurance and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which rose 5.98% or 0.64 points to trade at 11.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) added 4.60% or 0.040 points to end at 0.910 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was up 3.26% or 0.030 points to 0.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which fell 5.38% or 0.350 points to trade at 6.150 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.42% or 1.60 points to end at 45.20 and Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) was down 3.40% or 0.170 points to 4.830.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 190 to 150 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.55 to $1284.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.39% or 0.23 to hit $58.86 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.35% or 0.91 to trade at $68.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.32% to 6.0621, while EUR/TRY fell 0.36% to 6.7851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.623.
