Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Sports and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.60% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN), which rose 12.15% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) added 9.42% or 1.75 points to end at 20.32 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) was up 6.92% or 1.00 points to 15.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 9.78% or 2.66 points to trade at 24.54 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 5.82% or 3.35 points to end at 54.25 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was down 5.56% or 0.860 points to 14.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 244 to 124 and 38 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.53% or 6.50 to $1226.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.63% or 0.42 to hit $66.62 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.97% or 0.75 to trade at $76.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.07% to 5.5017, while EUR/TRY fell 1.16% to 6.2553.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 96.63.
