Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL), which rose 5.81% or 18.00 points to trade at 327.75 at the close. Meanwhile, ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) added 5.67% or 2.95 points to end at 55.00 and Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA) was up 5.42% or 0.73 points to 14.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 9.99% or 1.49 points to trade at 13.43 at the close. Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL) declined 9.97% or 4.66 points to end at 42.10 and Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) was down 8.30% or 42.25 points to 466.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 422 to 141 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) rose to all time highs; rising 5.67% or 2.95 to 55.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 9.25 to $2,608.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.84% or 0.57 to hit $68.61 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.82% or 0.59 to trade at $72.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 34.37, while EUR/TRY fell 0.26% to 36.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 105.90.
