Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 8.84% or 0.160 points to trade at 1.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) added 3.68% or 0.290 points to end at 8.180 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) was up 3.43% or 1.06 points to 32.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which fell 6.29% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.490 at the close. Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) declined 5.23% or 0.080 points to end at 1.450 and Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) was down 3.06% or 0.030 points to 0.950.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 179 to 165 and 63 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.21% or 2.75 to $1279.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $54.16 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.29% or 0.18 to trade at $62.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 5.3345, while EUR/TRY rose 0.19% to 6.0679.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 95.995.
