Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Leasing & Factoring and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.47% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 6.33% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) added 4.59% or 0.17 points to end at 3.87 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was up 4.41% or 0.49 points to 11.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which fell 4.85% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.570 at the close. Parsan Makina Parcalari Sanayi AS (IS:PARSN) declined 4.71% or 0.700 points to end at 14.150 and Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM) was down 4.63% or 0.050 points to 1.030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 178 to 177 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.69% or 10.55 to $1513.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.40% or 0.77 to hit $55.58 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.60 to trade at $59.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.62% to 5.6680, while EUR/TRY rose 1.66% to 6.2897.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.097.
