Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Transport and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which rose 8.46% or 0.550 points to trade at 7.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 6.61% or 1.17 points to end at 18.87 and Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) was up 5.19% or 0.08 points to 1.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM), which fell 6.45% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.870 at the close. Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) declined 5.74% or 0.140 points to end at 2.300 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was down 4.86% or 0.09 points to 1.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 223 to 120 and 60 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.70% or 9.05 to $1277.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $62.83 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.83% or 0.60 to trade at $72.02 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 6.0529, while EUR/TRY rose 0.16% to 6.7603.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 97.773.
