Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM), which rose 15.96% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 10.87% or 0.050 points to end at 0.510 and Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) was up 8.55% or 0.100 points to 1.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 4.19% or 1.10 points to trade at 25.16 at the close. Is Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ISGYO) declined 3.85% or 0.040 points to end at 1.000 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) was down 2.99% or 0.150 points to 4.860.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 201 to 149 and 57 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.14% or 1.75 to $1285.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.19% or 0.11 to hit $56.48 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.30% or 0.20 to trade at $65.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.29% to 5.3883, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 6.0881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 96.860.
