Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Banking and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC), which rose 19.95% or 0.750 points to trade at 4.510 at the close. Meanwhile, Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT) added 9.86% or 0.92 points to end at 10.25 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 5.23% or 0.180 points to 3.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which fell 6.25% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.250 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 4.38% or 0.84 points to end at 18.32 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) was down 3.56% or 0.110 points to 2.980.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 181 to 154 and 71 ended unchanged.
Shares in EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) rose to all time highs; rising 19.95% or 0.750 to 4.510. Shares in Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.86% or 0.92 to 10.25. Shares in Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.23% or 0.180 to 3.620.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.43% or 5.44 to $1262.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.06% or 0.53 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 0.74 to trade at $51.90 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.91% to 3.5438, while EUR/TRY fell 0.79% to 3.9634.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 97.25.
