Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Wood, Paper & Printing and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which rose 5.68% or 1.72 points to trade at 32.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) added 4.01% or 2.60 points to end at 67.45 and Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA) was up 2.79% or 0.130 points to 4.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which fell 4.79% or 0.270 points to trade at 5.370 at the close. Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) declined 3.83% or 0.070 points to end at 1.760 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was down 3.63% or 0.540 points to 14.320.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 257 to 101 and 47 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.45% or 17.30 to $1209.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $75.22 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $85.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 5.9798, while EUR/TRY rose 0.55% to 6.9203.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.01.
