Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Sports, Information Technology and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 5.30% or 24.25 points to trade at 482.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) added 2.47% or 0.88 points to end at 36.50 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) was up 2.41% or 4.90 points to 208.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bosch Fren Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BFREN), which fell 4.16% or 32.50 points to trade at 749.00 at the close. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 3.30% or 7.30 points to end at 213.90 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) was down 3.18% or 4.70 points to 143.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 385 to 171 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 2.40 to $2,525.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.68% or 0.48 to hit $69.86 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.60% or 0.44 to trade at $73.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 34.01, while EUR/TRY rose 0.38% to 37.69.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 101.31.
