Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Wood, Paper & Printing and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 3.81% or 0.150 points to trade at 4.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Turcas Petrol AS (IS:TRCAS) added 3.60% or 0.090 points to end at 2.590 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 2.70% or 0.170 points to 6.470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which fell 2.99% or 0.140 points to trade at 4.550 at the close. Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) declined 2.59% or 0.58 points to end at 21.80 and Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) was down 2.59% or 0.70 points to 26.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 202 to 142 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) rose to all time highs; up 3.81% or 0.150 to 4.090.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.65% or 8.60 to $1317.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.61% or 0.37 to hit $61.33 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.51% or 0.33 to trade at $65.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.60% to 3.9024, while EUR/TRY rose 0.24% to 4.8129.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 90.00.
