Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Metal Products & Machinery and Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS), which rose 12.35% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) added 5.22% or 0.070 points to end at 1.410 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 3.39% or 1.70 points to 51.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which fell 4.98% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.910 at the close. Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) declined 4.88% or 0.100 points to end at 1.950 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) was down 3.78% or 0.76 points to 19.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 182 to 173 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.27% or 3.55 to $1317.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $52.62 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $61.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.14% to 5.2558, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 5.9539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.393.
