Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Tourism, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 5.35% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) added 3.94% or 0.26 points to end at 6.86 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 3.63% or 0.250 points to 7.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which fell 2.99% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.650 at the close. Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) declined 2.47% or 0.170 points to end at 6.720 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was down 2.39% or 0.140 points to 5.730.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 201 to 149 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) rose to all time highs; rising 3.63% or 0.250 to 7.130.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.45 to $1275.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 0.97 to hit $50.95 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.33% or 1.30 to trade at $57.10 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.08% to 3.5748, while EUR/TRY fell 0.39% to 4.1902.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 93.74.
