Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Services and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 6.06% or 1.92 points to trade at 33.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) added 5.94% or 0.060 points to end at 1.070 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 5.94% or 0.260 points to 4.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which fell 8.17% or 1.530 points to trade at 17.200 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 4.53% or 0.180 points to end at 3.790 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) was down 4.16% or 0.160 points to 3.690.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 211 to 145 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.47% or 19.40 to $1339.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $62.51 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $65.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 3.7926, while EUR/TRY rose 0.24% to 4.7108.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 89.49.
