Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 8.28% or 0.870 points to trade at 11.380 at the close. Meanwhile, Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) added 5.92% or 0.200 points to end at 3.580 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was up 5.07% or 0.31 points to 6.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 3.08% or 0.51 points to trade at 16.06 at the close. Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) declined 2.91% or 0.050 points to end at 1.670 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 2.61% or 0.170 points to 6.340.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 196 to 149 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) rose to all time highs; up 8.28% or 0.870 to 11.380.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.52% or 6.60 to $1277.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.57% or 0.33 to hit $58.03 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.32% or 0.21 to trade at $64.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.23% to 3.8102, while EUR/TRY fell 0.66% to 4.5121.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 93.03.
