Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Food & Beverages and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 5.81% or 0.360 points to trade at 6.560 at the close. Meanwhile, Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH) added 4.80% or 0.330 points to end at 7.200 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was up 3.89% or 1.00 points to 26.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which fell 5.53% or 1.10 points to trade at 18.78 at the close. Dogtas Kelebek Mobilya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:DGKLB) declined 2.94% or 0.030 points to end at 0.990 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) was down 2.85% or 0.57 points to 19.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 209 to 121 and 77 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.80% or 0.330 to 7.200.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.33% or 4.65 to $1401.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.95% or 0.54 to hit $57.61 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.78 to trade at $65.23 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.22% to 5.8301, while EUR/TRY rose 1.60% to 6.6078.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 95.955.
