Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.06% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 6.32% or 0.91 points to trade at 15.30 at the close. Meanwhile, SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) added 3.67% or 0.250 points to end at 7.070 and Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) was up 3.47% or 0.370 points to 11.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO), which fell 7.68% or 14.90 points to trade at 179.10 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 3.82% or 0.260 points to end at 6.540 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was down 3.38% or 0.250 points to 7.150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 204 to 144 and 56 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.55 to $1283.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.14 to trade at $58.02 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 3.6742, while EUR/TRY rose 0.29% to 4.3277.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.40.
