Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Telecoms and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which rose 7.78% or 0.200 points to trade at 2.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) added 6.65% or 1.72 points to end at 27.58 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was up 6.12% or 0.48 points to 8.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which fell 3.17% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.220 at the close. Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) declined 2.65% or 0.250 points to end at 9.200 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was down 2.58% or 0.920 points to 34.780.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 192 to 151 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.65% or 1.72 to 27.58.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.66% or 8.70 to $1331.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.39% or 0.25 to hit $63.55 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.17 to trade at $69.09 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.60% to 3.7527, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 4.5572.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 91.02.
