Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Metal Products & Machinery and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 18.37% or 1.040 points to trade at 6.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 15.26% or 0.650 points to end at 4.910 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was up 8.48% or 1.680 points to 21.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which fell 13.58% or 1.10 points to trade at 7.00 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.17% or 0.030 points to end at 0.690 and Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN) was down 3.36% or 10.50 points to 302.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 224 to 145 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) rose to all time highs; gaining 8.48% or 1.680 to 21.500.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.31% or 4.08 to $1292.62 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.44% or 0.21 to hit $47.74 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.17 to trade at $51.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.05% to 3.4941, while EUR/TRY fell 0.45% to 4.1118.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
