Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 3.37% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 18.11% or 0.710 points to trade at 4.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) added 9.55% or 0.400 points to end at 4.590 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 7.80% or 0.110 points to 1.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which fell 3.95% or 1.800 points to trade at 43.800 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) declined 3.19% or 0.62 points to end at 18.83 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was down 2.59% or 0.70 points to 26.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 304 to 64 and 41 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.55% or 21.95 to $1391.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.63% or 0.37 to hit $58.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.23 to trade at $64.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 2.41% to 5.6475, while EUR/TRY fell 2.98% to 6.3843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 96.268.
