Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.83%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 9.28% or 4.06 points to trade at 47.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 8.25% or 0.330 points to end at 4.330 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was up 6.73% or 1.84 points to 29.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which fell 3.62% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.330 at the close. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 1.66% or 0.38 points to end at 22.46 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) was down 0.35% or 0.04 points to 11.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 334 to 44 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; up 9.28% or 4.06 to 47.80.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.20 to $1214.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $68.70 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.17 to trade at $76.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.37% to 6.2673, while EUR/TRY rose 2.85% to 7.3545.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.44.
