Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Metals and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.62% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 11.54% or 1.140 points to trade at 11.020 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 11.16% or 0.270 points to end at 2.690 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 7.27% or 0.280 points to 4.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 3.37% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.010 at the close. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) declined 1.94% or 0.66 points to end at 33.28 and DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) was down 1.64% or 3.30 points to 198.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 201 to 160 and 44 ended unchanged.

Shares in Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) fell to 52-week highs; losing 3.37% or 0.070 to 2.010. Shares in Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.27% or 0.280 to 4.130.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.53% or 6.79 to $1277.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $54.31 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.16 to trade at $60.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.73% to 3.8188, while EUR/TRY rose 0.48% to 4.4377.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 94.68.
