Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.42%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 10.41% or 0.280 points to trade at 2.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 8.84% or 3.98 points to end at 49.00 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 7.34% or 0.370 points to 5.410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS), which fell 6.00% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.70 at the close. Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) declined 5.39% or 0.16 points to end at 2.81 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 3.23% or 0.010 points to 0.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 247 to 109 and 50 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.73% or 21.00 to $1233.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.69% or 1.76 to hit $63.55 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.17% or 2.39 to trade at $73.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.09% to 5.5243, while EUR/TRY fell 0.27% to 6.3074.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 96.20.
