Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which rose 8.07% or 2.06 points to trade at 27.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 6.43% or 0.42 points to end at 6.95 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was up 5.61% or 0.43 points to 8.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS), which fell 4.12% or 3.15 points to trade at 73.30 at the close. ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) declined 3.43% or 0.160 points to end at 4.510 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was down 3.37% or 0.190 points to 5.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 225 to 125 and 57 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 2.80 to $1220.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.39% or 0.27 to hit $69.28 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.91% or 0.67 to trade at $74.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.37% to 5.2573, while EUR/TRY fell 1.01% to 6.0984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.96.
