Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Banking and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.81%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 7.84% or 0.20 points to trade at 2.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) added 5.60% or 0.22 points to end at 4.15 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 5.52% or 0.94 points to 17.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which fell 2.44% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.200 at the close. Parsan Makina Parcalari Sanayi AS (IS:PARSN) declined 2.37% or 0.340 points to end at 14.000 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) was down 1.63% or 0.220 points to 13.270.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 292 to 64 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.99% or 13.95 to $1425.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.71% or 0.41 to hit $57.21 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.27 to trade at $64.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.46% to 5.6844, while EUR/TRY fell 0.26% to 6.3846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 96.808.
