Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Tourism and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.77% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 6.41% or 0.300 points to trade at 4.980 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) added 5.73% or 0.67 points to end at 12.36 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 5.26% or 0.510 points to 10.210 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO), which fell 2.18% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.690 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 1.93% or 0.68 points to end at 34.60 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 1.85% or 0.010 points to 0.530.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 253 to 96 and 58 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.86% or 11.70 to $1351.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.70% or 0.46 to hit $65.97 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.10 to trade at $70.32 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.02% to 3.7515, while EUR/TRY rose 0.31% to 4.6659.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 88.84.
