Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.76% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 7.27% or 0.20 points to trade at 2.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) added 6.77% or 0.13 points to end at 2.05 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 6.07% or 0.170 points to 2.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which fell 4.55% or 0.310 points to trade at 6.500 at the close. Parsan Makina Parcalari Sanayi AS (IS:PARSN) declined 3.00% or 0.420 points to end at 13.580 and Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) was down 1.51% or 0.15 points to 9.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 277 to 76 and 55 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.47% or 6.75 to $1430.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.73% or 1.55 to hit $55.23 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.62% or 1.67 to trade at $61.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.08% to 5.6851, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 6.3823.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 96.792.
