Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Leasing & Factoring and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 7.94% or 0.170 points to trade at 2.310 at the close. Meanwhile, SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) added 7.70% or 0.520 points to end at 7.270 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 6.68% or 0.350 points to 5.590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which fell 2.97% or 1.38 points to trade at 45.06 at the close. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) declined 1.91% or 1.45 points to end at 74.35 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was down 1.51% or 0.46 points to 30.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 348 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.60% or 7.88 to $1303.62 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.46% or 0.24 to hit $51.98 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.53 to trade at $57.90 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 3.5503, while EUR/TRY fell 0.64% to 4.1803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 92.98.
