Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.59% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 5.00% or 0.160 points to trade at 3.360 at the close. Meanwhile, BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) added 4.71% or 2.70 points to end at 60.00 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) was up 4.62% or 0.060 points to 1.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Logo Yazilim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LOGO), which fell 4.30% or 2.550 points to trade at 56.750 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 2.22% or 0.010 points to end at 0.440 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was down 1.83% or 0.050 points to 2.680.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 107 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) rose to all time highs; up 5.00% or 0.160 to 3.360. Shares in BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.71% or 2.70 to 60.00.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.74% or 9.06 to $1218.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.80% or 0.37 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.37 to trade at $48.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 3.5873, while EUR/TRY fell 0.34% to 3.9032.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 99.45.
