Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.51% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL), which rose 9.94% or 1.43 points to trade at 15.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) added 9.94% or 1.23 points to end at 13.61 and Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) was up 9.90% or 0.48 points to 5.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which fell 3.92% or 16.00 points to trade at 392.00 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 3.91% or 4.40 points to end at 108.10 and Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK) was down 2.62% or 1.40 points to 52.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 366 to 191 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) rose to all time highs; up 9.94% or 1.23 to 13.61.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.13% or 3.49 to $2,661.99 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.17% or 1.48 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.05% or 1.47 to trade at $73.30 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 34.74, while EUR/TRY rose 0.26% to 36.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 106.34.
