Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Sports sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which rose 9.95% or 3.82 points to trade at 42.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 7.64% or 4.75 points to end at 66.95 and Turkish Airlines (IS:THYAO) was up 6.62% or 18.50 points to 298.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which fell 3.92% or 31.00 points to trade at 759.50 at the close. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.71% or 24.50 points to end at 880.00 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) was down 2.44% or 13.00 points to 519.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 416 to 136 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 4.20 to $2,435.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.50% or 2.56 to hit $75.76 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.05% or 2.33 to trade at $78.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.30% to 33.47, while EUR/TRY fell 0.51% to 36.58.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 102.96.
