Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.44%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA), which rose 9.93% or 0.86 points to trade at 9.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) added 9.81% or 0.46 points to end at 5.15 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) was up 7.41% or 2.58 points to 37.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM), which fell 10.00% or 19.60 points to trade at 176.40 at the close. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) declined 3.70% or 2.00 points to end at 52.10 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was down 2.96% or 4.10 points to 134.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 364 to 205 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.61% or 16.15 to $2,668.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.29% or 0.91 to hit $71.28 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.27% or 0.93 to trade at $74.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 34.13, while EUR/TRY rose 0.34% to 38.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 100.33.
