Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Real Estate Investments and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Menderes Tekstil (IS:MNDRS), which rose 10.91% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Adel Kalemcilik (IS:ADEL) added 6.05% or 4.25 points to end at 74.45 and Sinpas Gmyo (IS:SNGYO) was up 4.00% or 0.030 points to 0.780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which fell 18.12% or 5.10 points to trade at 23.05 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.35% or 0.010 points to end at 0.230 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was down 2.82% or 0.70 points to 24.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 272 to 132 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.35% or 0.010 to 0.230.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.05% or 0.60 to $1167.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.54% or 1.41 to hit $54.11 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 3.36% or 2.02 to trade at $58.30 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.65% to 2.6734, while EUR/TRY fell 0.88% to 2.9617.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.31.
