Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Banking and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 8.33% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 7.01% or 0.65 points to end at 9.92 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 5.41% or 1.72 points to 33.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which fell 1.58% or 0.050 points to trade at 3.120 at the close. Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) declined 1.35% or 0.70 points to end at 51.00 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was down 1.20% or 0.010 points to 0.820.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 265 to 87 and 49 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.30% or 3.80 to $1249.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.39% or 0.79 to hit $57.48 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.74% or 1.08 to trade at $63.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.60% to 3.8399, while EUR/TRY fell 0.86% to 4.5122.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.02.
