Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Transport and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 7.14% or 0.350 points to trade at 5.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) added 6.07% or 1.16 points to end at 20.26 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was up 4.69% or 0.190 points to 4.240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO), which fell 3.49% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.210 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) declined 2.92% or 0.54 points to end at 17.97 and Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) was down 1.58% or 0.070 points to 4.360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 279 to 75 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.49% or 6.00 to $1225.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.22% or 0.15 to hit $68.41 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.25 to trade at $73.32 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.94% to 4.7509, while EUR/TRY fell 1.10% to 5.5621.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.34.
