Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Transport and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 20.00% or 2.340 points to trade at 14.040 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:ALCTL) added 10.51% or 0.620 points to end at 6.520 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was up 10.33% or 2.16 points to 23.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 3.22% or 1.06 points to trade at 31.90 at the close. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.91% or 1.95 points to end at 65.00 and Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) was down 2.35% or 0.190 points to 7.910.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 267 to 95 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.50 to $1206.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.46% or 0.32 to hit $70.09 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.58 to trade at $78.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.62% to 6.6566, while EUR/TRY rose 1.73% to 7.7374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.05.
