Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 11.36% or 1.520 points to trade at 14.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK) added 7.01% or 0.42 points to end at 6.41 and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) was up 6.67% or 0.45 points to 7.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which fell 4.40% or 0.86 points to trade at 18.70 at the close. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 4.30% or 0.170 points to end at 3.780 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 2.85% or 0.62 points to 21.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 224 to 137 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.40% or 0.86 to 18.70.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.37% or 16.50 to $1189.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.52% or 0.39 to hit $73.95 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.81% or 0.68 to trade at $83.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 6.1389, while EUR/TRY fell 0.27% to 7.0457.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.56.
