Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which rose 12.41% or 0.180 points to trade at 1.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) added 8.12% or 4.30 points to end at 57.25 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was up 4.90% or 0.720 points to 15.410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which fell 19.94% or 1.440 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 3.64% or 0.26 points to end at 6.89 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) was down 3.11% or 0.080 points to 2.490.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 215 to 140 and 50 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.08% or 1.00 to $1250.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 4.64% or 2.33 to hit $47.87 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.42% or 2.04 to trade at $57.57 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.42% to 5.3486, while EUR/TRY fell 0.27% to 6.0817.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 96.505.
