Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Transport and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB), which rose 5.10% or 0.65 points to trade at 13.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:TURSG) added 4.77% or 0.79 points to end at 17.34 and Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER) was up 4.37% or 1.50 points to 35.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which fell 3.79% or 0.18 points to trade at 4.57 at the close. Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) declined 3.79% or 1.00 points to end at 25.42 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was down 3.61% or 6.20 points to 165.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 295 to 260 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) rose to all time highs; up 5.10% or 0.65 to 13.39.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.06% or 1.61 to $2,749.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.55% or 0.43 to hit $77.42 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.62% or 0.50 to trade at $80.79 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.36% to 35.56, while EUR/TRY rose 0.53% to 36.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 108.81.
