Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Banking and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 9.16% or 48.00 points to trade at 572.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) added 5.31% or 12.00 points to end at 237.90 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was up 4.87% or 0.20 points to 4.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM), which fell 3.87% or 1.84 points to trade at 45.66 at the close. Akfen Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:AKFGY) declined 3.35% or 0.07 points to end at 2.02 and Sdt Uzay ve Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:SDTTR) was down 3.29% or 7.70 points to 226.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 295 to 263 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.87% or 1.84 to 45.66. Shares in Sdt Uzay ve Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:SDTTR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.29% or 7.70 to 226.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.57% or 39.95 to $2,582.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.54% or 2.38 to hit $69.69 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.03% or 2.14 to trade at $72.75 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.17% to 33.91, while EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 37.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.58.
