Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Wood, Paper & Printing and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 15.73% or 1.600 points to trade at 11.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) added 7.88% or 0.160 points to end at 2.190 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was up 5.49% or 0.050 points to 0.960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which fell 3.45% or 1.30 points to trade at 36.40 at the close. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) declined 3.11% or 0.070 points to end at 2.180 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) was down 2.37% or 0.040 points to 1.650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 215 to 142 and 53 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.32% or 4.20 to $1334.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $67.01 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.03% to 3.7878, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 4.6583.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 89.89.
